What's the downside of installing the 14A clamp for the FET driver circuit? The manual says it's recommended for "most" (there's that word again) assemblies.

As you've seen here, much of the interest is in more power for the 3.0L trucks - whether engine swaps or forced induction. This may have been the first positive displacement blower on a longitudinally mounted 3.0L truck engine...... there are now also 2 or 3 trucks in Australia with Eaton/Nissan blowers that I know about.
