It's on there. It's the aluminum piece the oil filter and oil sender go on. Bottom left in the second picture.
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

Yep - the cooler lines go to the oil filter adapter.
I've also installed the thermostatic valve in place of the plug. The plug had a flat washer as a seal, but that seal doesn't work with the valve.... and the parts manual does not show a seal of any kind. I hope it doesn't leak.

Two days of heavy-duty wrenching with a few football and breaks... at a leisurely pace... and with Brendan's help got a lot accomplished this weekend. We installed the engine, exhaust, A/C compressor, P/S pump, starter, alternator, engine oil cooler lines, front prop shaft.... reworked the transmission linkage, filled the t-case, reworked the fuel rails for hopefully the last time - this time JB Weld was used as a thread sealant - don't think they'll leak now. ... made/installed a clamp to keep the heater hoses from rubbing the back of the blower plenum.... the injectors and fuel rails are in.... finished up a couple of AN fuel fittings - the dual-feed fuel system is now complete except for the return line clamp. Brendan did a lot of the heavy work while I played foreman - he's a great helper! ![[Linked Image]](http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/1281/img4016ii6.th.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/8739/img4015kv1.th.jpg) I'm sending the radiator out tomorrow to have a 3-row core put in.... still need to complete the engine sensor/ECU/ignition wiring, build an injector harness before it'll be ready... shouldn't be long now. Thanks, Brendan! Frank

The injectors I chose are Denso 325cc/min - originally used on '89-'92 Ford Probe/Mazda MX-6 2.2L turbo cars. Apparently that's the only application and at first glance require a typical square L-Jetronic connector as used on the Gen1 Montero and many other applications - but the lower reference notch is offset to the side - and not the side that most similar connectors use. The standard connectors can be forced on - but I guess Brendan's been hanging around me too long because he insisted that I find the correct connector. Finding the connectors was tough..... 2 days of junkyard combing convinced me that there weren't any of those cars in the yards. I finally spied the correct connector on the front of a '90 Nissan 240SX engine... used as a CLT connector. Got 1 from that yard, 2 from another yard, found the same arrangement on a B-2800 truck in a 3rd yard and finally got 6 of the little buggers and made a new injector harness, wired for bank-fire - 1/3/5 and 2/4/6. Curtis will probably approve, since the butt splices are crimped, soldered, shrink wrapped - connectors have low-profile rubber boots from a Nissan truck - harness taped, covered with split-loom and taped again - and joined with a GM weatherpak connector. I don't think weather will bother this harness, but I wouldn't want to be the one who takes it apart. The search also turned up a perfectly good cover for the fusible link box - something no longer available from the dealer and very hard to find in good condition. I need to clean off the crud, though: Curtis is right about the GM weatherpak connectors.... the ones I cut from an old car had absolutely no oxidation on the wires... they were bright copper and looked almost new 2" from the connector. Hopefully, the fuel system is now complete: ![[Linked Image]](http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/3397/img4017io5.th.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/8457/img4018vw8.th.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/7372/img4019wf4.th.jpg) Now, for the fun of wiring the sensors and distributor. Frank

All I can say is WOW, Frank. Every time you post up, it's like a work of art, and we're watching the sculptor....
That being said, when you're done, you're going to patent this and form a kit, right?

Thanks, Larry -
I don't think it's possible to make a kit from this accumulation of "stuff".
