Do you have a scope? Without one you can put a meter on the lead from trigger and see when it opens and closes. There should be an event 50 or 60 before Tdc. With MS2 you can select if this is rising or falling.
Essentially you need to turn the engine by hand with power on and watch for the meter to signal the trigger events. Then look at a pulley and determine about where the events are in crank rotation. This can also be done if you have the LEDs in the MS. I do not install the LEDs since they are ignition outputs in what I run so i have used a meter.

A few years ago someone posted in the sucsess area that they were running a Mitsu 6, I think with a dizzy, he might have his MSQ posted.
