No, I don't have a scope. I do have the LEDs installed on the MS panel. I've never tried to use the timing light while rotating the engine by hand - maybe I'll try that.
I have the MS set for rising edge, since the manual said that was the best setting for most vehicles.
I'll see if I can figure out how to print the .msq file to a disk, transfer it to this desktop and post it...... give me a few minutes.

It is more difficult that way, I can install this MSQ into my system and open it with Mega tune.
Are you set up for Hybrid Alpha N?

It is back to you. I did an estmate on the ignition. I also let the EGO correction available full time, it was set like a narrowband. Come to think of it I did not look at all the O2 settings but some of that is not in the MSQ.
You can do a save as for your MSQs allowing you to keep track of them better than the timestamp that defaults to them.

I have not installed the IGN pullup resistor because it seemed "iffy" that it would need it. What do you think?

I don't understand what you're saying there. I'm using the VB921 high current ignition driver in MS, triggering the coil (-). The distributor is from a '90/'91 Montero (assuming it's good - haven't tested it in a vehicle) and I'm taking the signal from the low resolution wheel (6 signals/revolution) and not using the high resolution signal at all. When I was checking the distributor (off the truck and not connected to MS) to see which wire was which with my digital voltmeter, I applied B+ to the sensor. I found the signal output voltage low - about .2v - does that indicate that I need to install the pullup resistor circuit? If so, what value resistor would you use? Frank

The MS will trigger the spark with the VB921, this is it's output.
A pullup will be in the input circuit. The original MS is setup for either a set of points,(using the Opto isolator) or a VR sensor.
Mitsubishi uses a simple trigger for switching the timing events, this provides a rather clean signal especially with a shielded conductor. The MS2 has a 1K resistor on the processor pin used for the input so not much other conditioning is needed. So you can get by with a wire from the 37pin connector to the processor and install a pullup so the Dizzy has something to switch.
