I just had a tree fall on my AWD Mirage, more work to do now. Yikes! I hope it was insured. I have a business appointment in Atlanta on Monday. The engine should be back together tomorrow, leaving Sunday to drive it some to make sure the leaks are fixed. Based on the last .msq you saw, do you think I can trust it to make a 450 mile trip before I get on a dyno? Frank

Brendan -
Help is always a good thing.... particularly when it's good quality. I plan to start first thing tomorrow morning..... if you want to come down, come on..... when it's running, maybe we can ride around and do some burnouts and wheelies.
Seriously, you can monitor the laptop - or drive while I do. There's still some tuning work to do - particularly to make sure the injectors can supply enough fuel for the HP it makes.

I'll give you a call in the morning after I do laundry and a few other small things. There's a chance I might have to stay here tomorrow but I'll call

My mirage is off the road for the winter but it does have comp on it.
When you get your rig together you should get some more on power tuning done. I would not do a long run they way it was. If Brendan does get over the two of you should be able to get 90+% of the tune done and you then can asses your confidence in it. I for one am willing to go on a long run with a fresh built vehicle but todays builds are more complex and do need a bit more sorting. It just is not the simple carb and dizzy days anymore. Most of what I build now gets on a race track before being driven on the street. Granted some stuff never goes on the track and some never goes on the street.

If you need anything on your trip to ATL, let me know. My cell # is 706-372-1459. If you have any issues, call me. Athens is a tad out of the way, but I can get you a rack at one of my customer's shops, if necessary.

Thanks, Larry. Charlie's probably right that I shouldn't push it so far this soon. If it was a stock engine with stock controls, I probably wouldn't be as cautious if I could get 50-100 miles on it first. But with all of the differences from stock, I'd be asking for trouble. I'll probably drive something else.

Eddy -
I have an 11:00 appointment that should last at least 2 hours, so I don't know what I'm doing for lunch. I'll give you a call when I'm finished and if you're available, maybe we can have an iced tea
