A 2.5" exhaust system with a Walker Dynomax turbo muffler was installed this morning...... it has a nice rumble at idle, but gets quite loud when revved. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" /> It's not bad inside the cab, but from behind it's much louder than I had hoped it would be. The original catalytic converter was almost completely plugged - maybe age, but probably made worse by running so rich since I installed MS. I need to investigate available mufflers to see if there's a quieter one that will fit AND not restrict flow.

The LC meter arrived - the Diamante coil measures 5.53mH and the Montero coil measures 5.48mH.... so for all practical purposes, the coils are identical, with only the secondary resistance about 5-600 ohms higher on the Montero coil. I'll use the Diamante coil.

If I use 6A as the current, the MS calculator indicates 3.5msec as the desired dwell, so I might need to set it a little higher than the present 3.1msec, depending on what the actual coil current might be. I'll need to figure that out.
