It was indeed the rotor bearings.

Last night I finally found a standard serpentine belt and decided to wait until this morning to install it. When I went out it was raining, so I thought it might make the 20 miles to work without seizing and I could change it there after the rain.

It made it 19 miles and seized.... the rotors are locked solid, so it would appear the bearings are fried. I cut off the belt and drove it the last mile...... changed to the standard belt, tied off the bypass valve and it's now at least drivable, but with limited power.

The warranty has definitely expired, so I guess I now get to learn how to rebuild an Eaton blower.

Maybe an M90 would be a nice boost in power (pun intended).
