After a couple of calls from Magnacharger today, things are looking somewhat better. The fellow who called immediately admitted that about the time they made my blower they had a bad batch of needle bearings. He also was quick to point out that my warranty understanding was incorrect..... the warranty is not for 1 year, but 3 years/36,000 miles.... parts and labor. So, he asked me to return it for a full rebuild with any parts not useable to be replaced by them.

I asked about engine damage and suggested that their product should be liable for damages..... offered to provide the labor if they would pay for necessary machine work and needed parts. He spoke with a supervisor, called me back and said we need to take it one step at a time.... nothing was off the table, but they want to see the blower first.

Fair enough, I think..... at least so far. Since they've explained the bearing issue honestly, their admission of product fault should lead to some engine settlement since one is related directly to the other. It seems they intend to operate with integrity.

If every blower they made was like this one, they couldn't stay in business, so I think this is an unusual circumstance - one that hopefully will be resolved to my satisfaction and to their credit.
