Yes, but the flip side is losing a bearing shell location when the girdle comes down - and/or not being able to see the installation of the girdle wrt the thrust bearings and possible damage on re-install. I'm really leery of that. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" />
