ARP head studs torqued to 87 lb-ft w/ARP moly lube - about 130 lb-ft equivalent w/oil....
Frank

How do you figure equivalent torque?

It's published in the ARP data that comes with the studs and I think it's listed on their website as well. I may have overstated the ft-lb equivalent - going from memory, and sometimes that ain't so good anymore. I think the change is about 30% more torque with the ARP lube over 30 wt motor oil, so that would be about 115 lb-ft.

Brendan, it's too familiar, but it's still fun to me.

You guys will get a shot at tearing it up when I get it tuned.

I'll probably drive it to Atlanta in April if I haven't blown it up by then. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Won't work. I can break it with some FE hoodoo before I ever even see it...

I once broke a dizzy shaft on a sbc while it wasn't even running...

Those things broke all by themselves under there warranty period.
Frank's is to damn pretty to break this time. Oh wait, it was real pretty looking before too.
Maybe I will need to get down that way and drive it without breaking it.

Cheers, Charlie
