The break-in drive was uneventful and with no drama..... and it's a hot-rod. The temperature gauge stayed just below the 1/2 mark the entire time, no matter how hard I pushed it - which wasn't too hard. I did see 5psi intake pressure from the blower a couple of times in O/D, but generally tried to keep it out of boost and never gave it full throttle. I didn't take it to 6000rpm - maybe 5000 a couple of times and let it coast down.

The exhaust note is so much better ....... it's not as loud as before when it drops down into O/D under load at 2200rpm.... and it doesn't lose the power curve in O/D at low rpm, so I guess the cams are working much better rolled forward to build more cylinder pressure. I may want to play with them some more, but so far, I like it much, much better than before. I think this time I've got a good engine combination..... can't wait to put it on the dyno.

I really had forgotten how nice this truck drives - a Gen1 in good mechanical shape is a really, really nice truck.
