Dyno time today on the Mustang 1750.

This time I went with 235/75/15 street tires, took out the rolling refrigerator aerodynamic correction factor of 20 and put in a Mustang factor of around 8.

On the first pull I saw about 180HP and 240 lb-ft torque at the rollers. The engine is smooth as silk, very, very strong down low, pulls hard from the line and loves boost. Power begins to drop off after 5,000 rpm..... not bad for a truck at all.

Boost has dropped back to about 6.5psi - an indication that either the blower isn't as efficient after Magnacharger rebuilt it - or - this engine is pumping air a lot better than the last one. There's still a little overhead in the blower if I want to turn up the boost a bit.

I may need to roll the cams back a little, but I have no real fault with it like it is..... driveability is excellent.

We de-tuned it a little to be on the safe side, even though we saw no indication of knock. The last run after richening the mixture and some heat soak showed about 170HP and about 200TQ IIRC...... I'll get some graphs up when the files are sent to me.

I think we got it a little too rich because driving home at 70mph, it got slightly ragged when I gave it full boost.

All-in-all, it's great. I think it can be improved, but I'm concerned that I'm getting close to the transmission torque input limits.

I'll try to put up a couple of videos later.
