When I first transplanted the turbo motor into the 87, I was a little aprehensive about the tranny, given that I had eaten an m/t with the same motor. I called Mitsu CS and got the nice lady to connect me with a driveline engineer, who did some research and got back to me and told me that the aisin-warner is good for 300ftlbs. I wouldn't worry at your power levels. However, if you really crank up the boost... but with a blower as opposed to the turbo, you don't have as much room to really raise the boost. I know you can fool with pulley sizes, but if you get it to 200hp, I think you will be more than satisfied, and safe, tranny wise, at least. You might want to go to the 95sr big rear end, though, although my small diffs held up just fine at around the same 200hp.
