That was 3rd gear at 1:1 for all pulls. One reason the start of the first video sounded so ragged was getting the transmission to up-shift to 3rd before putting power to it slowly so it wouldn't down-shift and screw up the test.

You might be correct on the HP losses being fodder for overstating engine fantasies........ I just don't know enough to know what I don't know about some of the things I read and hear.

If the transmission will hold 400lb-ft from the engine, then I'm way below that and quite safe.
