EB doesn't list complete engines on his website so I'm assuming he doesn't sell them online

It'd be cool to send EB a stripped down short block, and let the guys there "have at it". Perhaps freight it back when complete, or figure out a way to pick it up. I'd drive to Washington from Phoenix to pick up an engine he's gone through for me. Well worth the gas, and, can meet the guy(s) in person

Yeah, I sent him an email a couple of hours ago. I'll post back when I hear anything.

Wrong end of the country, but nice to see there's a source in the central South.

Smoke, have you used an engine from Orient Engines? The website says all the right things, but most of them do

$1700 for the engine no mention of shipping.

I just heard from Sunwest. Shipping is going to add $250 so $2270.

Still waiting on EB....

Try Oregon Engines. They have a store on ebay I bought my 3vze motor from them. They have the best warranty I've seen and the price aint bad. They have 100+ reviews from various repair shops and they are all good so I would check them out.

Heh heh, makes perfect sense now.

Also some updates:
"0 items found for Oregon Engines in eBay Motors"

According to his thread:

EB doesn't do many long blocks these days. The post is about 3/4 of the way down the page.

That's cuz Ted has turned the machining floor over to his son Tod. He and the lovely Le are the ones who lovingly package your goodies and spend Tod's inheritance!

You rest easy; that's one busy machine shop; the doors are FAR from being closed.

Stupid q's are the ones that go unasked.

Also be aware that the KEY WORD for a core exchange is a REBUILDABLE block. One of them thar fine print things people overlook.

So what's up with what you've got? If it isn't any good, then you're better off to save on shipping and scrap it.
