Are the nuts for the main pulley reversed thread or normal lefty loosey? I've been out there trying to break the thing loose for 30 minutes and used halfa can of pb blaster and all Ive done is rolled the thing up onto my blocks.
My haynes manual says nothing about them being reversed but I figured I'd check here just to make sure.

I don't know for sure (hopefully someone will chime in that does) but I don't think they're reverse thread. Of all the motors I've done, none have been reverse thread (but that's not to say there aren't any). Have you tried the breaker bar on the frame trick? Put the breaker bar onto the frame, then TAP the starter. That usually does the trick.

It's counter clockwise, If you have an impact it will make it easier.

Not to sound patronizing, but you have taken steps to lock the pulley in place while trying to loosen the bolt, right? Otherwise you'll never get it loose.

Another trick is to put a breaker bar on it, set the handle up against something solid like the frame, and bump the starter.

I've done several of these, and only one was I able to get it loose without using the starter. You can try sticking in the highest gear (4th or 5th) and having someone stand on the brakes, that worked for me once.

The starter trick really works well, just be careful what you brace your breaker bar against, make sure it is against the frame and not near any lines. On my 86 the power steering lines were close. Just give it a blip on the starter, it should break right loose. The only one I had to really hit over and over, I finally got with a brand new Optima RedTop battery.

I've had good luck holding pulleys using a Harbor Freight chain wrench I bought for around $9. It looks like a vise-grip but with a length of chain on it that can be made into a loop. I use a piece of old v-belt so it doesn't cut into the pulley (or cam gear, etc. -- I've used it there, too, with great results, just used a piece of timing belt to protect the gear). You can then slide a length of pipe over the end and get a lot of leverage on the pulley.
