i noticed a valve tick on my "hybrid" engine a while driving a few weeks ago, finally took it out and warmed it up today, pulled the valve cover, and one of the pads was loose on the #3 intake rocker! anybody had this happen before?

always something when i get close to wheeling this truck, and ALWAYS with the motor. i'm about ready to start over on the thing...

That is odd. I have never heard or seen anything like that. You are talking about the part that rides on the cam lobe, right?

Iv'e seen it. it was in a 22r that clogged it's oil ports. the camshaft sized and snapped right at the cam gear. the #1 cyl had loose pads on the rockers
