The bumper specifically says that it shouldn't be installed on a vehicle with air bags. I paid no mind. I assume that this was a warning for the Prado, which probably uses crush cans for air bag deployment. On the 4Runner, the bumper doesn't have the first sensor of any kind in it, so I don't see any reason it would adversely effect the air bag system. I feel safer with that bumper anyway you slice it. I have seen people with ARBs do some heavy damage with out so much as a scratch on the bumper...
