well, the rushing sound is definitley coming from the clutch fan on the startups. I had my friend start the truck (cold) when I had the hood open and I revved the engine a little bit with my hand behind the fan and it was pulling a crazy amount of air. After that rushing sound went away the fan was pulling 1/2 if not less the amount of air it previously was. I had the radiator pressure tested when the HG blew + whole system flushed. Monday ill get over to the dealer ship and see how much the assembly will cost me..and if its not too outrageous for it ill pick it up and slap it on.
I hosed down the engine to get any mud/dirt off of it and same for the radiator.
Sometimes though after the trucks warm and I shut it off, I goto re-start it and it makes 1 tiny click sound from the bed (fuel pump) but doesnt do anything. Turn the key again and then it starts up just fine.
I'm getting baffled with this engine...im thinking a rebuild is at hand
