Hey guys I need some help to figure out my cruise control problem.

As some of you know I did the 2001 eng./dash swap on my 92 amigo, well everything seems to work fine except for the cruise control. I read the owner's manual and I followed the instructions to set the cruise but it just doesn't want to engage.
When I press the main switch to "ON" the light turns on
but when I press the "SET/COAST" the "CRUISE SET" light on the inst. cluster it doesn't turn on.

I also noticed that when I first start my truck the "CRUISE SET" light comes on no more then 3 sec. just like the CEL, ABS, etc..
I thought it was kind of odd since the "SET/COAST" button is next to the WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER and the wipers work great, even the "INT"

Today I checked the fuse box to see if there was a blown fuse for the cruise but I didnt see a fuse for it.
Any ideas?
What should I do next?
