Well there are good things too, but they come at a cost <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
#1 It is a 4runner <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
#2 22re which I can work on and I love doing project myself.
#3 There is no rush when building this, because it is my 2nd rig. That takes a lot of the pressure off when you have the motor stripped down. It makes it a project worth it.
#4 It does seem to be a soild truck , not a lemon or engine that will go out some time.

So far I have put alot (to me)of money in it. First I bought all the stuff for a tune up and that is when I realized that the #2 spark plug was stripped. so next I bought a head from eb. The street rv with a 268 cam. the water ways in the engine needed to be cleaned bad. a lot of corosion. So I bought new water pump, oil pump, timing cover, timing kit (steel backed).
First I had to drill the head just slightl to get the dowl to fit in(I was scared to do that!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />) Then everything fit on nicely.
