I think you have to ask yourself what scenerio's you're depending on the spare for? Almost anything thats round can aid in getting you off the trail in a pinch... which is better than leaving your junk in the woods overnight. but you wouldn't want to zip around town at 75mph on your odd size spare for months while you "decide" to purchase a new one.
