All this talk about wimpy unibodys is BS. The uniFrames hold up fine. (I understand Finite element analysis professionally, which is how the XJ and ZJ were designed... very well, and with a built-in frame.) The SoCalXJ guys beat the crap out of their XJs, usually at the Hammers. They break eventually, but so does everything. Mine (XJ) is still in great shape.

This response is so typical! Reminds me of the guys that run 35" tires on their rig with a dana 35 axle! Yep, they say they have run 35" tires on there rig with the dana 35 without any problems! Berkley, you're in the same catagory as those guys! Funny thing was, when I read your response here, I just had read this post on another site

"I tweaked the unibody on my ZJ in Moab this weekend. I came down backward off a rock ledge and I now have a large 3/4" door gap between the two passenger side doors. My ZJ is on long arms and 35s. I took it in to SVE Autobody in Broomfield that has a unibody frame jig and they wouldn't even look at it because of the size and the suspension modifications."

Unibodies are commonly damaged when rockcrawling ... all the time; it's not rare! The guy is building a rockcrwler; why not give him the best recommendations. Let's leave the "what you purchased" bias behind us. Berkley, you have to wheel 'em, to break 'em!
