I just signed up here. I have seen a lot of good people helping others with good advice. I am no mechanic, but I am here to learn.
I have an '88 SWB Montero that came with no manual so I have been winging it.
I'll try to research questions before I ask, but I am no computer whiz either .
I thank you all in advance for being willing to help out a stranger.

Definitely lots of helpful folks here. I have an '88 also. One question for you, though: I see you have an '88 but you list it as a 3.0. Last I knew the 3.0 wasn't introduced until '89 in the U.S. Is your's an '88.5 maybe?

Thank you, Phil and CapnCrunch.
Don't know what I was thinking there, Cap'n. I fixed the listing to a 2.6 litre.
I have access to the internet at work, not at home. (Live in the boonies, no adress for a phone, I use a P.O. Box) So I can only post 10-11 days a month when I am at work.
Thanks again, and I'll be back with some questions for sure!

Good one, LRJ4x4. But my friend would more likely be M1. I used to drive an M60A3 tank, hence the name.
On that satellite, I have thought about it, but sometimes even $60 a month seems like alot. But I am considering it more and more. If I go that route, do you get a discount?

Good day, all!

Were the M1 Garand and the M60A3 in issue at the same time? I'd guess an M14, or whatever they gave the tankers after they quit the M1 Carbine. Grease Guns??? I liked M60's. They were a good looking tank if you like such things.

BTW, I thought 88 was the first year for the 3.0???? Been wrong before once or twice, tho....

I've never seen a 88 with a 3.0. at least not a USA market truck.

That's the problem with military lingo, to many reused M's

M60 main battle tank
M1 Garand rifle
