I just noticed the Mothers wax ad for the first time, is this a new advertiser or am I just out of the loop?

That's actually being served up by Google AdSense.

BTW Harry, where the heck are you now? NM? What happened to Hawaii?

I am actually in Reno at the moment. I thought I was going to be rolling in dough in Hawaii but it crippled me financially. I went out there on short notice and was still making a mortgage and car payment in Reno, PLUS the rental in Hawaii (my one bedroom apartment was more than my house in Reno!) and my girlfriend did not work the whole time we were out there. There was a lot about Hawaii I didn't like, my job, the people, no wheeling.

Now I have my house rented out in Reno and I am trying to sell my car and Land Cruiser. I have a job in Albuquerque, but it will require travel so I haven't been in a big hurry to find a place down there. If I have any work out in North Carolina I will let you know.

Sorry to hear Hawaii didn't work out.

So, how much for the Cruiser?

I am hoping to get $10k for it. That will have me almost breaking even, not counting the free product I have got for articles (FJ80 sliders aren't cheap!) and the $2k to ship it back and forth to Hawaii. I thought that I had it sold in Hawaii before buying Mike Nevitt's 4Runner but the deal on the Cruiser fell through.

Yup, Hawaii is extremely expensive but local's will know the best places to buy stuff. I spent quite a bit of time there when I was in the Navy and my girl in that port gave me the inside scoop.

Visited your website BTW and really enjoyed your pics. Photography is one of my other favorite hobbies and with digital camera's a cheap one to persue! Also noticed you own an EVO. You and phil should have alot to talk about.

Are you going to the Mitsubishi Owners Day at their Factory in S.Cal? I'll be there along with many other 4x4wire mitsu owners.

Dang Harry.

WELL, if you get some time off, take I40 W to Quemado, and turn south. There's some really cool lava flows down there. Have some lunch on the other side at Pietown. That's also a VERY cool way to go to Phoenix.

Also pack some lunch and hike the Crest Trail up on Sandia, or go up to Jemez Springs for a weekend, esp when it gets hot.

I imagine that you were on Oahu? I probably could have stayed sane there, but the big island is pretty rural (and rural is only cool if there are 4WD trails everywhere!). The cost would not have been so bad if I did not still have a mortgage and car payment back in Reno.

I am down in Albuquerque now and trying to sell the Evo , so I will not be able to make it to the event in So Cal.

Dang, wish I would have known sooner, I would have taken that way to ABQ after I picked up the 4Runner from Mike. There is a lot of pretty country to explore around here, I am excited about that.

I did some hiking on Sandia when I first got to town, but now all of the trails are closed due to fire danger.

I'd have to keep an eye out, but one of our new folks is from the Sierra Blanca area down around Ruidoso; beautiful stuff down there.

One of my best memories of the Crest Trail was one fall I was up there when the ladybugs were migrating or something. A couple bushes were just encrusted with 'em.

You should also go to Madrid if you haven't already gone. I remember when the folks first bought the old mine; got a regular little can-can business going now. I also hear the restoration of the old church is very nice too.
