Someday soon I will have to come down for a visit. Busy is an understatement for work right now. But I'll be damned if I kiss away another 20 days of vacation this year. Time to start taking some of it....only have 5 weeks to burn before October!

I know what you mean about things still measuring out the same regardless of the stampings....but I have to admit, that block I took out of the 85' Celica impressed me with all size "2" cylinder/pistons and all size "4" mains.

Got a call last night from my brother, seems a friend of his is hunting a shortblock for his 91'. Tossing the idea around in my head of assembling one of the two I have on hand (stock spec or .050" blocks). Only problem is...my brother and his friends tend to like getting something for little or nothing. And the way he asked "Got any of those 22RE's laying around anymore" kinda makes me think somebody is looking for something for free. Oh well...do better on the shelf in the garage than in their stinky hands. LOL

Im getting the hankering to tinker....gotta find me an 89'-95' xtra cab with dead innards to play with.
