This wasn't posted last night because by the time everyone got home I think we were all too tired to post anything. We ended up with 4 vehicles, a Suzuki, a LWB Gen 1, SWB Gen 1, and of course a Gen 2.5 (if I am not mistaken sir Angelo). I am sure more people will chime in with more details. I am still half awake/asleep here at college. We got plenty of pictures and video, we will have to work with Angelo to get it all up.

Got home 10:30 after stopping in Asheboro for supper. Had a great time. Enjoyed meeting you all. Definitely need to do this more often. I'll probably need to see the pictures and video at my Father-in-law's house after they're posted. I have 28K dial-up. He has broadband.

Yep, I missed this one, obviously... thanks to a rather lengthy 'Honey-Do' list
(that I barely even made a dent in )

Hopefully maybe next time.

I had alot of fun, and it was also a pleasure meeting new faces. Roger, your Gen I sounds better than my Gen 2.5, I could hardly tell it was running! Lookin good. Also, tell your friend, cant remember his name, it was nice meetin him and his Sammy up there too.

Eli, your Raider did good for it being the first time up there. You'll have to start building up that Raider, slowly but surly, you'll have it the way you want it.

As far as the video. I hope a few arent disappointed. We actually dont have that much pics and video footage, plus, i'm a lil embarrased to show it. Shoot, half of it is of me getting stuck, caught up, and trying to work my way up Rocky Mountain, eventually having to back off and take the easy line Even then, finding out that was a lil difficult too cause of a certain tree that wanted to get close to my Monty everytime i tried to pass, damn trees! I'll try and post a few pics up. Til then, i'll have to get them on a CD and put the video on a disc and give it to Eli to work with.

I also wanted to add.... Me, Roger and Eli were talking about starting to arranging some trips around the east coast, mainly sountheast. Uwharrie NC, Tellico TN, Cracker Neck/ Callente TN, the new park in SC (cant remember the name) and a few other places in GA that some of you down south might be able to help with those places. So if we start arranging places to meet and times, we can have a fairly good size group. And of course anyone else can come too. My main days are Sundays and Mondays, but dont base the trips around those days. Whenever the time comes, I'll try and be there.

later guys,
Angelo

Sounds like fun...someday i'll make back down there to wheel...not sure i'll ever do Tellico again though. Have any of you guys heard anything about Brimstone Recreation? It's in Tennesse somewhere...supposedly they have 4x4 trails and atv/dirtbike trails. I googled and found a website, but it didn't provide much info.

OK, IÆll biteà
How about a 14.4 external modem?
(Like the one I have that's probably sitting right beside of the above-mentioned 56K )

I think I even have one of those waaaaaaaaay old-school Phone Handset Cradle Modems collecting dust somewhereà Now THAT ONE should be in the Smithsonian!

Smiley I have a 56K modem. It's the phone lines in this old house we moved into in December. Can't connect faster than 28K. I went up under the house to run new lines and I saw the biggest spider in the universe. He was sitting right where I needed to run the line. Yes I knew he wasn't poisonous, but I just don't like spiders of any kind.

I also know he's not there anymore, but now the question is, "Where is he?" Just haven't got desperate enough to go back under there and run the new lines. I'll get to it eventually.

The tree Angelo referred to above is the one I've missed by 3.5mm every time I've been on that trail. Yesterday I learned how to get by and clear it by 3.5 inches. So Angelo your efforts around that tree were well spent. It was worth it to me just to learn something about that spot.

Brother, if *I* were connecting at 28K, it would probably take about 5 minutes before I was under there running new lines past Freddy Krueger if I had to!
