Went to AutoZone today to see what was causing the CEL light to be on. Their code reader said it was P0306-- Misfire in the no 6 cylinder. So what to do now??
Alittle history on this 97 Rodeo. Just put 2 used, but cleaned and checked Heads on it. New Timing Belt, New spark plugs.
Could it be as simple as the hookup to the coil pack not working quite right? What are things to look for?
TIA

I?ll go for the hookup to the coil pack, check the simple thing, some cracks in the spark plug cable and the spark plug itself.

Everything checks out okay. Could it be that the timing isnt perfect and thats whats causing the miss? I ask because the second time i did the timing belt due to a leaky water pump I recall not being able to get the drivers side cam to line up 100% with the timing notches?
