After playing around with the fresh motor and distributor I've found that I can't get it to time at 0 degrees BTDC. If I move the distributor one tooth either way I can get it timed to about 5 degrees BTDC or to about 2 degress ATDC. The motor runs great at 5 degrees BTDC but I understand that 0 degrees is ideal for the 22R. All the engine parts are new including the harmonic balancer. Anyone have any thoughts on why this is?
