Agreed. I should have noted that I have one that normaly resides over mine, I just hadn't slipped it on yet when I took the picture.
I ran it w/o a cover for a short bit; when I took off the hose and looked into the TB I was shocked at how dirty it was (I'd rebuilt/cleanedt he top end not long beforehand).

I will be honest, too - the difference in "power" is not very profound. It does sound cooler though, and my MPGs improved slightly. However that alone would never justify (to me) the high cost of a pre-made kit.
