Mudrunner
I have a 22R with an EGNBLDR 270 cam. I've been told to stay with 2" pipe out of the cat but don't know what kind of muffler to go with that will provide the correct amount of back pressure. Anybody have any suggestions?? Thanks.

Roll Me Over
I'd say something like a Dynomax turbo muffler, or a Walker OEM looking performance turbo muffler.... just stay away from Flowmasters and alike. I had them on my corvette and a 50 series Delta flow on my 3.0 V6 and it sounded like a V8. WAY TO LOUD. my acceleration got BETTER going from 2.5" pipe and a Flowmaster down to a 2.25" pipe and walker muffler.

Flowtech x2. The mufflers aren't made from very thick steel like Flowmaster, Magnaflow, etc., so they wont last as long, however at less than $25 you can afford to buy them more often.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I'm currently running a Flowmaster 50 series (2" inlet and outlet) and like it. Has a nice deep sound and not too loud at all. I also ran a Dynomax turbo muffler, which I actually thought sounded a little better, but it had an annoying resonance between 3000-3500 rpm. Other folks have run that muffler and didn't have that problem though, so it may be related to the routing or the hangers I'm using. The Dynomax is also about 1/2 the cost of the Flowmaster, although as mentioned earlier, the Flowmaster is constructed of much thicker steel.

I ran an Autozone's Cherry Bomb Turbo *factory style* on both my 22RE and 22R behind DT headers and no cat. They sound very good, not too loud, and performance was good, only 30 bucks.
Gnarls.

flowmaster 50 series, 2" pipe from cat to muffler, 2.25" muffler to exit. Thats what eb recommends. Works great for me. I also gained 1.5-2 mpg w/ that upgrade.
