wouldn't the stock driveshaft bolt up with the flanges you have on the d300?

I wrote down the overall lengths of both transmissions somewhere, but the 700R4 was a bit shorter. The main difference is the lenght of the T-case. The D300 is atleast 6" shorter. This has the rear driveshaft coming up short, and the front is too long. I took some measurements tonight. Should get them to the driveline shop this week.

Where does the t case sit compared to the stock one?

The new case sits a bit farther towards the front than the stock one did, but they are generally in the same place. The T-case adapter I chose has some clocking built in when used with the Dana 300. This results in much better clearance than the stock unit. I'll get some pics, but the lowest thing on the frame will be the stock transmission cross member.

Also how did the starter work any pics of that?

Since the starter bolts up to the engine, and I didn't change the flex plate, nothing had to be done with the starter. This transmission has a cut-away bellhousing, and the starter falls into this cut out area. I need to figure something out for a dust shield. There are plenty available, but everyone I've seen has the starter on the passenger side <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I can start and run everyting without the dust shield, so I'll figure that out later.
