I know its not an Isuzu, but it is a 4x4 and its pretty dang cool. I thought some of you guys might enjoy checkin out how a full on top of the line competition rockcrawler is built. This is probably the most thorough and in depth writeup ever done on a comp rig, and there are a ton of little details and tricks going into it.

I'm not building it, in case you're wondering. Blue Torch Fab in Dothan, Alabama is building it and this will be a full production chassis available to anyone. I am helping with the build, I've been in Dothan for a week now. I came out to do the plumbing and electrical, but have spent most of the time doin fab work because there were some parts delays that delayed my work. I finally started on the plumbing yesterday and got all the air lines in, and most of the brake lines. This car runs a super complex braking system, and an even more complex air system. Yeah, air. It runs not only air lockers but also the new air shifted Lovell Transfer case, and we've done some really trick things to make everything work.

Check it out, I think you'll enjoy it. Maybe you'll even find some ideas for your own rig.
