That's some nice flex. Looks like you are going to make it or no?

For the brake lines I used a 300zx turbo rear outer brake line which is male/female. You can use this to extend your stock brakeline by about 9 inches. partsamerica.com part number h96868
I am pretty impressed by the simple solution of reversing the calipers to make the e-brake cables work. Would be interested to see pics once you get the ebrake cables all hooked up and the routing down the leaf springs to the calipers.

well I ran into a problem with the ebrake cables. if I hadn't pulled all the mounts loose to begin with, the caliper flip may have worked out very nicely. but with chopping out the carrier bearing mount to fit the one piece rear driveshaft, I lost one of the mounts. so now, I can't get everything back where it needs to go without doing some 'engineering'. shouldn't be too bad just time consuming and aggravating.
as for the rear brake line, I bought a 300zx line that was plenty long, just ended up being female on both ends, because I thought the splitter had a male fitting coming out of it. always double check I have now put a piece or hardline between it and the stock line that I can rig to a mount off of the housing, but its mighty ghetto. I think I'll just go with that line you suggested. it would be cleaner and pretty cheap.

IT'S ALIIIIIIVE
got the brakes working finally It's coming home tonight (it's a mile away from my place right now). I ought to have it wheeling shortly.
What's left...front driveshaft (have all the parts, just need to rig it all up), rear shocks (same deal, just need to figure out my mounts), finish grooving the one tire i've been putting off, mount those on the wheels, mount my wheel spacers, then it's just a little engine work to get her idling again and running smooth, break in the rear gears, then see it it all falls apart or not Oh and install the rear aussie (as soon as they come in).
I'm hoping to make it to URE before it closes, but if not I'll get some private land wheeling in this winter to work out the bugs.
:cart before horse: After tax time, if there's anything left of me, I'll be saving up for some D44 bling and some bigger tires and alloy wheels. I'll have to decide whether to go with teralows or a 2nd case or something eventually. Hope the 5.38's w/ 36's will do me ok until then.
Also mulling over what to do body/cage-wise. I think maybe boogering a truck-cab together and adding a tube flatbed might be cool...or leaving the body and doing an interior cage and attaining the 'raisined' look...or chopping the thing up Airtrooper style...who knows.
But anyway, i'll be happy once I can just putt around in it safely

Ok, I made it home without any trouble, aside from having to keep feathering the gas to keep it running (had me wishing for an extra foot). Rear shocks ought to make a massive improvement in the body-roll and brake dive I experienced as well. I did like how it went with the 5.38's. Big improvement over stock 4.56's with the 35's. Today I didn't have anything better to do, so I went to work trying to work out my idling issues. I went through and checked out all my vacuum lines and moved some around. With a search I found a link to bob large's pictures here: http://rides.webshots.com/album/480813352AVBApt which came in extremely handy. Going by the diagram under the hood I had it almost right, but by looking at those pictures I got it all together. Still, it won't idle, which isn't surprising. I'm sure it needs a regular tune up, fluid changes, and a valve adjustment, and I will probably go ahead and get new vacuum lines because the ones on there are just about shot. If it's no better after that, well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Going to do some more searching about squishy brakes post-sas. Until the brake pedal is about 3/4 down it's like I'm not even on them, then they kick in.
