I went down to bare(painted) metal stripping all the old stuff out ( it was rotten and cat peed) use acetone to clean it up, laid down peel n seal ( later determined that toyota already has a lyer of soundproofing on the floor boards but not the hump and under the seat) then went over the top with automotive padding. I got it at a local price is right floor center. They had three different kinds. This one was the medium thickness but had a really dense layer on one side I laid out facing the floor side to defeat the heat from coming through. THEN I laid the stock carpeting over the top a nd reinstalled the center cousel pieces that hold it in place. I need to figure out someting for the dorr frame side because of all the stereo wires and the thicker padding are just kind of out there and the old plastic holders wont fit anymore.

It's really a nice "soft" quiet in the cab now plus there is no more uncomfortable heat rising <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
