ok, but the problem i have is that the #1 wire, the field wire for everyone else, is the large rust colored wire in mine that has an 'r' stamped on the housing, like for the regulator, the one that loops back around to the charge terminal in http://www.rocketcityrockcrawlers.c...ner%20alternator%20Upgrade%20Project.pdf

the other thin yellow wire is terminal #2 and has 'f' stamped on the housing.

its the opposite of how everyone else has it hooked up. by the coloring of the wire, the way the pigtail matches the color that the schematics for the 87 chevy say, im guessing the one i have is wired in reverse from what all the other info says.
