It looks like I am getting real close to needing new tires, (they seem to be losing grip in corners more...
I am definitely keeping stock rims, and have been looking at whats out there. I can get BFG All terrains mounted for 112 per tire at the local costco, but there seems to be no info on how well they wear. the truck is going to be on the road for about 80% of the time, and most offroading will be done to get to rivers.

I got about 60K miles out of the goodyears I currently have on, but I have never been especially impressed with them.
I would like to get about 40-50K out of the next set of tires. any thoughts on the BFGs?

Jeff

Not sure which all terrain you are talking about. The Rugged Trail?

Try finding yours here and check reviews.

Need a Spot
I have run three sets of BFG AT's and would definetly recommend them. They do well off road and wear great on the street. They are also a lot quieter than some of the other aggressive All Terrain tires out there. $117 each is a good price for them in my opinion.

I am looking at the All Terrain TA/KO, the rugged trail looks like it would be great in the dry and then stink in snow/lots of rain.
All the reviews seemed to be all over the place on tire wear, with lighter trucks (jeeps) getting great results and heavy trucks getting a ton of wear, which seems to make sense, but I wanted to know where the t-100 fell on the spectrum

I'm running the Firestone/Bridgestone Destination A/T and have been *very* pleased with them. I drive under similar conditions to what you describe as planned. My main basis for the selection were the reviews and ratings on tirerack here Tirerack reviews and here Tirerack comparison of A/T tires

I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.

I don't run BFG's anymore. I've run a set of muds and a set of AT's and both got out of round after a few years. Their sidewalls really suck if you take them offroad (replaced several due to major cuts). The AT's are noisier than necessary and don't have good wet or snow street traction (same as the MT's).

I really like the Bridgestone Dueler AT/Revo's I've got on the 4runner now. They're quieter and have great wet and snow traction. They just aren't quite as aggressive a tread, but that's OK w/ me for 90% of what most trucks running AT's see. They seem to be wearing great too (30K so far). The only bad thing is the biggest size is 285/75R16 (no 35's). For 35" AT's I'd go with Toyo or Nitto. The Nittos have a slight highway howl though.
I bought the Revo's after reading lots of positive feedback on here and Yotatech.

hmph... had my heart set on the BFGs, but the revos look quite a bit better. gotta see who has them. If costco had them I would be there in a heart beat!

OOF, I just found out that the REVOs will be 865 installed for all 4 vs 450 for the BFGs.... too much of a difference. maybe in 50K miles it will be different....

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revos on my T100. I've driven them 17,000 miles in town and on the highway in rain, heat, and snow, and on logging roads in Canada. They are the best truck tire I've ever had. Excellent traction and stopping ability, but pretty quiet. I got a set of 4 from Pyreless Tire, a regional tire chain. Actual tire cost was $514. With stems, mounting, balance, road hazard warranty, and tax,the total was $607.
