I just bought a 99 trooper w/ 143k miles on it (manual) for $3000. I put some new cooper SST's (very happy with)and it's running great. it burns some oil but that's a small sacrifice for having such a great looking and performing SUV.

The funny thing is i've had an 87 GTA, 94, & 98 Trans Ams as my last 3 cars and i wanted to sell my automatic 98 T/A for a manual one but this deal came along at my job and i liked it so much i bought it before i sold the trans am and i wasnt even looking for an suv at all! i sold the trans am the next week! and that trans am was for sale for about 6 months! you cant hurry when selling. I was able to keep all the extra money i kept from the trans am to bay off the school loans i have since i'll graduate next year. My point is if your selling be patient and someone will eventually see the value in it. people are into suv's now and a 6cyl foreign made DOHC engine sounds better on gas than an 8 cylinder explorer. I think it looks better too. its not as wide so easier to drive with same or more room inside! I've used autotrader with an ad that doesnt expire and i think it's the best way to go. auction style sites run the auction too short and not everyone will see it in that time period. autotrader everyone sees the price if they like they call, see it, buy it. no wait for auctions to end and guessing final prices. Just my opinion.
