So I picked up a new to me, non running, 87 Turbo truck that needs some work.
First thing on the list was to fix the PO's botched head gasket job. Hydro-locked bolts were the culprit.
Oupon removing the head I saw that the #2 spark plug hole has a heli coil in it. Now, i've used these with some sucess before but i'm wondering if I should have it welded shut and tapped out, or leave it alone. I have another good turbo head on a spare motor if I need it, so thats an option too.
Any thoughts on this or experiences revealed would be great.
Thanks
