I still have the 88 Runner V6 auto.....but I thought I'd try some 'comfort'.....what do ya think? Does it have potential? Should the build up be done here or the Taco forum? Everything is bolt-on over there, ain't it? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Nice ride! It's amazing how popular white is out here.

Looks like a sweet rig. V-6, locker, definately a nice ride. My Dad's got an '01 4cylinder extra-cab that I've taken on long trips and it drove like a dream. I wouldn't mind having one as an expedition/trip rig.

I hear the Taco's big weak point is the tie rod ends, so you might want to at least keep a spare set handy.

I have a friend from school with a 1998 taco and he said the same thing about the tie rod ends, he had gone through a bunch himself.

Nice--- <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> buildup on the Taco forum--this is the pre-95 section, so some of your issues might be 3.4-specific. We've also got an FSM for this generation sticky'd over there if'n ya need it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

With that being an SR5, that might look like the e-lock in the back; do you have the switch on the dash? One I've seen lately has it mounted by your left knee.

You've just reminded me that I need to scan my '99 Runner pix. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Edit: Zuk, you'll like some of this guy's goodies <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I am so glad I held out for a white one....here in AZ, that is a big plus.
Yes, this one has the E-Locker and the button left of the column.
Thanks Stevie.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
Yes, Craig.....you know me <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> I will drive it.....maybe do some very minor things to itbut I won't do much until the cool weather. I need the whole summer to think about what direction this nice ride is gonna go. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
