Just be careful installing. I gently tap around the ring with a small piece of wood carefully. Ive had good results just seating the seal 3/4 of the way into the oil pump. Replace the oil pump and oil pump seal while you have this apart....no matter how you fix the main seal leak. PS... I have like 5 front main seals laying around for 22R's. If you want one Ill send it to you for the price of shipping. I have these extra seals because a total rebuild kit that includes an oil pump also has another one in the gasket kit....and I have been known to rebuild a few 22R's. Michael J. It makes it easier to replace the seal if you work on the pump on the bench. You can replace the seal with the pump body still on the engine though. Speedy sleeve is the one in the front. I've never used a Speedy-sleeve, but that front one looks way too thick to me. I would think that that much of an increase in the diameter of the pulley sealing surface would toast the seal from too much friction- seals a sensitive little buggers. Incidentally, does any one know the Napa part number for the SS? I'm gonna pick one up tommorrow. Maybe I'll just check the Napa website. I'll let you know what I find out...
