Yeah, I second that too. If you've got the pulley off, just pull the pump too. It makes putting the seal in sooooo much easier too, plus, your assured of getting the seal in square and not dinging up the crankshaft if you install the seal while the pump is off the truck. I also put a LIBERAL coat of grease into the lips of the seal before I put it back in the truck. I think it helps with break in as well as making sure you don't fawk up the seal when you put the pulley back on... The only replaced front main that I've ever had leak again was when I used a speedy sleeve. By switching up the seal years you can get another 200K out of your front main. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
