Okay, this I've never heard of, could anyone elaborate?

Also, I finally found two different parts from Napa. Both titled "Crankshaft Repair Sleeve - Rear"

Same price, but the only difference is their size. One says, ".820" Wide Reground Shaft Diameter: 3.123" and the other says, "3.149" Shaft Diameter."

This is newbie, but which one is the one I need?

They will probably all start leaking someday...*LOL**..

There are two versions, one design is for use usually by crankshaft shops. They grind down the shaft, then install the seal ring to create a new seal surface.

The other kind is for use by repair shops, it is thinner. A bead of RTV is applied to the groove and the new ring installed over that.

So the larger is the one you will need, they work very well to stop oil control problems....*EB
