Well, The owner of the toyota shop here in town thought that maybe this auto hub didn't require these parts. I still don't know if that's the case or not. I've re-assembled the hub with the new wheel bearing, and the symptoms are fixed. But it's not going to last long if I'm still missing washers/nuts..

The nut that does exist in my hub is kept from loosening by the housing with the 3 screws, which is keyed into the spindle. There's really nowhere for the nut to go, but I'm still not clear on whether I'm missing these parts, or whether I'm just reading the wrong auto-hub disassembly faq.

I started to dis-assemble the passenger side, but only got as far as my siezed cover screws, so they're soaking for a while till i can loosen them.

Sure would be nice to know. Again, this is an 86 4runner.
