Is there an easy way without taking out the ring gear and carrier to get the axle shafts out? I know they're held in with the C-clip all I need to do is replace a bolt stud on the shaft because one broke off. I don't want to do all this just to replace a wheel bolt stud. I've been reading threads and all they say is how to re-gear the Ford 8.8'' I don't need those. If i were to take the carrier out and the ring gear i'd have to do backlash measurements and all that good stuff to replace em.
