Well, I got it all mounted. When I tightened the nuts down, the jack had a defenite bow in it. To take care of this, I had a couple of 3/4" pvc end caps around so I drilled a hole in the tops and threaded them on the bolts. This gave me a gap on both sides so no bow. Took it out for a drive and found no noises.

I took the jack apart and I don't understand why everyone sais these things don't work well in the dirt. I must have pulled 10 lbs of dirt and rust out of this thing.

Gonna re-paint it and will post pics once it is done.
