Hi all....
I think I am about to have a large problem with my Manual transmission Hope not, but here goes.... Selecting gears is rather hard to do, especially first when starting out, I need to push rather hard to get it to go into gears, and it kinda gives a little "click/pop" when it finally engages. Starting out in first is a little chatterry (sort of surges, can feel the truck moving forward - like when you slow down and have warped disc brakes - hope that makes sense) Starting in second is a little bit worse, I can feel it surging more. Also when the clutch pedal is released all the way to the top it makes a squeeky squeek noise, like a spring is rubbing on something. does it with truck running or not, and can feel through the pedal. Sounds like it's coming from under the truck - right around where the tranny is
Last week I took my kids to a local water/mud hole and ran through that a few times until the truck started running like crap and the clutch started to feel a little spongy What could be the problem? Water in the trans? Water not high enough for submerging even the axles, but splash it did!
Sorry for the longggg post but i'm tired and not sure if I made any sense. Thanks all,
AUSSiE
