thanks for the reply nathan.

i bought a gear puller, and as i was putting it on the sprocket, the sprocket came off.
i guess, soaking it in wd-40 and liquid wrench for two days eliminates the need for a gear puller. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
