Well I finally got the truck here. Needed a new clutch. Now I have changed my fair share of clutches but this truck ate my lunch. Got the tranny out and I just wanted to know if there is anything that I should do while I have it apart. I will be changing all of the oils over to Synthetic AMSOIL and greesing everything up. Also getting the flywheel resurfaced.
I noticed an oil leak on the back side of the engine but it was to dark tonight to determine if it was the rear main or valve cover gaskets.
On another note: I drove this truck to Texas from Arkansas and quickly figured out that the fellow who owned it before me musta weighed 350lb+ as the springs in the drivers seat are shot. Is there an easy way to fix this?
One last thing. Anyone have any rear leaf springs for sale? My right rear has a cracked leaf I believe. Checked the frame and it is not diamonded or twisted. Just appears that the right rear is sagging.
I can't complain, I got the truck for $3,600.00. I will post up some pics soon to show off my new ride.
