I just pulled the heads on my 3.2 And the head gasket didn't appear to let go which makes me think there is a crack somewhere. Where do 3.2 heads crack when they do. I didin't see any in the combustion chamber I wonder if its behind a valve or something. I had pressure in the cooling system after sitting for 2 days so there is definantly compression getting into the cooling system.

What do you mean? You popped the rad cap and had some fluid/air come out? If so, that is not an indication of a crack between the combustion chamber and the cooling system. In fact, that is relatively normal.

Unless you have seen cracks before, you may not notice them. They can be very small and hard to see. Mostly look between the valves and at the other thin areas. In general, 3.2's don't have a reputation for cracking, so there is no "normal" place for it to occur.

I suggest taking the heads to a shop and having them inspected and/or fixed.

Good Luck,
Michael

Mine cracked at the spark plug threads at the number two cylinder, allowed coolant to get into the spark plug well and pressure into the coolant. Could not see the crack, period, due to it's location in a threaded area.

'94, and '00 Amigos and '00, 01 Rodeos. Rodeo springs and aftermarket 'hard top on 94. Aisin hubs OME 919's on the 2000 Amigo. 2000 and 2001 Rodeos have OME 912's and Aisin. Smoother ride with the OME 919's???
